so last night damon took me to my first movie premiere. what a to-do. it was at universal city, and you had to walk through a crowd of tourists to even get to the red carpet. this felt more like an awards ceremony than a screening. there were so many stars out for it, everyone else had to wait for them to be photographed and interviewed. the film started an hour late. madness.

walking down the red carpet was a bit daunting at first. it really felt like it was a wall of cameras a mile long. luckily the friends we made in the parking-lot-from-hell went ahead of us. i heard shouts of "potsie potsie!" to which our friend started waving.. a distraction ahead, i was saved!

the pleasant surprise was that it really was a great film. russell crowe and paul giamati were absolutely their characters.. fantastic performances, and the story is inspiring.

i had to laugh though. at the party afterward everyone was talking about how it was the longest red carpet they've ever had to walk down. great. nothing like having the biggest as your first one.. seems to be the story of my life.
